PURPOSE
In 2011, life brought me to my knees with a devastating rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. As a former Pro Ballet Dancer (I quit at 16, s I was too short and curvy for ballerinas at the time) I studied at the best Juilliard and Joffrey Ballet NYC, I watched helplessly as my body betrayed me, my left elbow fusing within days of diagnosis. The prognosis was clear: no cure, lifelong medications, and inevitable disability.
But my two-year-old son saw something different. In his eyes, I was still a superhero. His unwavering belief became the spark that would ignite not just my own healing, but a movement that would touch thousands of lives.
Beneath the noise of pain and fear, I remembered the divine light already burning within. It burns within us all.
Diagnosed with advanced Autoimmune Rheumatoid Arhritis, I made what many considered an impossible choice. Facing chronic disability, I rejected traditional pharma paths and started teaching Zumba despite constant pain and disability. Every movement was a challenge, but also a declaration of possibility.
I chose the inner path.
What happened next was remarkable. People began showing up in unprecedented numbers, drawn not just to the exercise but to the authentic journey they witnessed – someone choosing hope instead of surrender.
Our class grew beyond expectations, eventually becoming recognized as one of the world's largest Zumba classes, a distinction it's maintained for over ten years. But the real miracle wasn't in breaking records – it was in the community we created together.
People discovered their inner strength. Those facing their own challenges found new perspective. Together, we built something powerful – a space where transformation became contagious and limitations dissolved.
Through movement, we learned that healing isn't just possible – it's our natural state when we connect with each other and with the deeper strength within ourselves.
Remember this: In illness, the divine reveals itself. Every wound becomes a door to infinite wisdom. The path to healing was never separate from the suffering itself.
All beings move at their own pace toward remembering their true nature. No one watches from outside this dance—we are all finding our way home.
This healing flows through all of us. My story simply mirrors what lies dormant within you. As one awakens, all benefit. We heal together, for we were never truly apart.
Aham Brahmasmi. I am the infinite consciousness. And so are you.
What you perceive as your greatest weakness contains your deepest divinity. Your wounds are doorways to the infinite. Your struggles are not obstacles to transcendence but the very path itself.
In the dance of existence, there are no spectators—only participants at different stages of remembering who they truly are.
